The part-time Rockstar

This is how a normal day looks like for our Pioneer. Early mornings, busy traffic on the way to his daytime job. As a delivery driver for a postal courier, he spends his day on the road. The days can be stressful for sure, but most of the time it's a peaceful job strolling over the rolling country.

Most package receivers are nice and happy to get their package. Some though, are less nice. If it's the delivery time, the state of the package or if it's just the weather that's not to their liking. Some people just need someone to dump their frustration on and this someone, sometimes ends up being our Pioneer.

But in-between the customers whining, the map reading and the lunch breaks there is an everlasting thought in our Pioneers head. A dream, an urge to forget the eventful days on the road. An itch to pick up a guitar and letting the melody decide where to go. This thought makes up for all the inconveniences throughout the day. The long roads becomes a race, where at the end the creative expression lies.

A normal life that so often begs for extraordinary moments. From the daytime job, the dreams spring, and flourish in the never-ending faraway. But for many people the dreams remain dreams. The visions on the road never gets fulfilled instead it becomes an easy escape. At the end of the race where the creative expression has its reserved spot, procrastination instead waits. It's a story told many a times, and it grows sadder each time. Fortunately, it's not the story we aim to tell. For some people the dreams become so big they can't remain as dreams, When the time has come to clock out for the day, the real purpose begins.

We're honored to have been able to capture our Pioneer at his peak. Where the creative desperation at last becomes creative expression. With his local band, they shine on the stage. Fingers finds Strings, Voices entangle, Spirits gets lifted and Dreams get realized. This is the story of the Part-Time Rockstar and it's the inspiration to The Linen Overshirt. We thank the Pioneer and people like you. Without you, we wouldn't be.
